KIDS SUMMER CAMP 2026
One week of modern no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, 9 AM to 4 PM each day. Taught by two active competitors who coach kids full-time. An experience built around them.
WHAT TO EXPECT
AND HOW WE'RE DIFFERENT
Most kids' summer programs are mat-time wrapped in daycare. HYR's summer is the same modern no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu we teach all year — five days straight, under coaches who actively compete, in an experience built entirely around kids.
WHAT KIDS ACTUALLY DO:
- Train real, competition-tested technique — no watered-down "kids' curriculum"
- Drill, spar, and review with both coaches in the room
- Build the quiet confidence that comes from real progress, not pep talks
- Learn how to stay calm under pressure
- Train alongside teammates who care about getting better
Two Coaches. Both Competitors. Same Lineage.
Led by Coach Cam Hurd and Coach Lyndon Yates
Coach Cam is brown belt under Sean Stoopman, ranked #17 in the world by FloGrappling, ADCC National Champion 2025, and currently 3rd overall male on the ADCC 2025 circuit. The kids in his class learn from someone who is, right now, doing the exact thing he's teaching.
Coach Lyndon is also an active competitor — multiple IBJJF International Opens wins and 2nd at American Nationals, ranked top 10 in his weight class in the adult division three years running. Brown belt under Sean Stoopman, same lineage as Coach Cam, and HYR's full-time youth-specialist. His students have already competed at ADCC and MMA Youth Worlds.
Both coaches are in the room together. Same standard, same instruction, two sets of eyes on every kid. No assistants, no rotating staff — just the two of them, all five days.
THE HYR SUMMER EXPERIENCE
9 AM to 4 PM each day. Roughly six hours of training, mat games, and recovery time per day — compared to the three hours per week in the regular class schedule. Same coaches. Same standard.
